Dead Space 2: Which suit is shown on the cover of the game, and where do I find it?

I though Isaac was going to have a sweet suit when you started the game, but it looks like the old one. I'm on chapter 8, and I only have the security suit. Also, how are the gun/armor add-on dlc? Is it worth it?
